New thin terminal. This terminal type is a technically improved version of our previous thin terminal type 842/942. After bringing the new terminals 882/982 onto the market the production of the terminals 842/942 will be stopped and they will be no longer available. The thin terminals are being applied predominantly by Japanese starter battery manufacturers. With the terminal adapters 835/935 the battery can be converted to the European connection 1:9 (according to DIN). The rolled labyrinth areas and the two self-sealing labyrinth rings (undercuts for shrinking on of polypropylene) provide for an optimum connection between the terminal and the polypropylene. The total cone area of these battery terminals is rolled for optical reasons and to provide for a long-term protection against oxidation.

The manufacturing process is protected by two patents.
