WEGMANN automotive umbrella brand grows up

WEGMANN automotive GmbH & Co. KG
umbrella brand launched on 1st October, 2009

The launch of the WEGMANN automotive umbrella brand in 2008 saw the activities of the Hofmann Power Weight, Franken-Original, FEco and Perfect brands brought together for the very first time.

1st October 2009 marked the next step in the journey – uniting all the activities undertaken by companies HOFMANN POWER WEIGHT GmbH and Franken-Industrie GmbH & Co. KG under the WEGMANN automotive GmbH & Co. KG banner. With this move, the umbrella brand has truly come of age and commences its operational activities in the process.

However, customers don’t need to worry about any changes the move will bring. Not only are product brands Hofmann Power Weight, Franken-Original and FEco being retained, but their core activities are receiving additional reinforcement. Although the product ranges are manufactured under one roof, the brands and quality requirements are clearly differentiated, with each brand standing for a specific level of product quality and a clearly defined product segment.

With the founding of WEGMANN automotive GmbH & Co. KG, the world leader in the field of balance weights believes itself to be in the strongest possible position to rise to the challenges the future will bring – to offer enhanced service while at the same time retaining the high level of product quality boasted by the “Made in Germany” mark, and keeping prices competitive within the sector.

WEGMANN automotive is the leader in the world market for balance weights designed for use in passenger cars, freight vehicles, buses and a variety of industrial applications, as well as acting as a supplier to all the big names in the automotive world and leading spare parts retailer organisations.

The group has achieved success in its activities in America, Europe and Asia, with brands such as HOFMANN POWER WEIGHT, FRANKEN ORIGINAL, FECO, and PERFECT.

WEGMANN automotive is part of the Wegmann group, based in Munich. With more than 4000 employees worldwide, the four divisions of Defense, Transmission, Automotive and Real Estate generate an annual turnover in excess of 1.5 billion euros.
